Is there way to show all images, including subfolders, when I'm in root folder? I believe this was a feature request last year.
Badly needed.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
Is there way to show all images, including subfolders, when I'm in root folder?

This feature is not implemented yet; however, we are going to release a feature: "generate shortcode to load image based on certain tag".

Cheers,

Hi,

Unless i missed something, there's no way to display all the library images at once unless they're all in the same folder(?)
That sounds crazy…

Until now, i have to affect each image to both its destination folder AND the library root to be able to display all the library images at once by clicking the root folder.
Plus the root folder doesn't have a media count: very handy when you want to know how many images are in the library!

Please do something quickly about this, it's been asked for months, maybe years!

See attached: if inspiring, WP Real Media Library plugin has a "All files" button to display all media in the library + there's a media count on it. ;)

We know this feature is so helpful in some cases; however, there is a bunch of important features waiting for us.
Its popularity should be checked also. Anyway, we noted that in our planning area.

Thanks a lot!

We would like to have the option of turning on an "All Media" link in the plugin settings. That will allow those who would like to switch to a view that shows all media in a single "folder". However, we wouldn't want to have the root folder be that view. We struggle with users uploading media using the direct file upload option and the files ending up in the root folder. In order to keep media organized, we'd like to see the root folder show the actual count of files that haven't had a folder assigned to them (there's a separate enhancement request thread for this feature already) instead of a count of all files in all folders.

Hi,
I'm adding my wote to raise the popularity of this request. ;)

Sometimes folders can get quite complicated and utter order can cause utter chaos.
That's the case, when you have tens of nested folders and you're trying to find one picture just by your visual memory.

I just figured out a way to do this. Move the file to the root folder or simply upload it there to begin with. Then click on the file and assign it to the subfolders that you want to include it in. After that it will appear in the root and in the subfolder. Boom!

Sure, boom, no time consuming at all and each site user will strictly apply this method, we can count on this… :D
That's what i do too so far, but it will become so easier when the plugin author will have implemented a dedicated filter.

Agreed. I'm also looking for a way to filter by media category.

Hmm, what do you mean? WP Media Folders are categories, just click a folder and you'll see the medias of the clicked category…
Unless i didn't understood your question. ;)

And i forgot to mention: the "View all medias" option is coming (at least) in WPMF 5.1, according to their authors.
