wp upload + compatibility with a theme already installed

hi,

i'm very interested in your media folder plugin,
and i've 2 questions :

- is it possible to choose a pre-created destination folder (create with the plugin) when you want to upload some files ?
Or can you only move them to folder after upload ?

- i saw that you can create gallery from folder with the plugin. My wp theme uses the wp native gallery creation to create different kinds of portfolios and galleries.
can I still insert simple galleries in my pages and portfolios after installing the plugin?
