Hi, stuck on something odd with WP File Download Pro (v6.3.5, latest) — hoping someone's seen this.

Symptom: Subcategories never render in the frontend folder tree. Clicking a folder does nothing — no expansion, no AJAX request, no console errors.

What I found in DevTools: filtering Network → JS by "wpfd", only these load: jquery.leanModal.min.js, jquery.tagit.js, search_filter.js, compatibility.js, pdf-old.js, custom.js, jquery.mediaTable.js, leanmodal.init.js, wpfd.upload.js, script.js.

There's no category/folder-tree script among them at all. That's why nothing is clickable — the code just isn't on the page. The upload form works fine (because wpfd.upload.js does load).

And here's the kicker: it's not just the frontend. In the admin, the plugin's own Elementor widget "Insert this category" button is completely unresponsive too. So its category JS seems dead site-wide.

Ruled out: permissions, all 4 themes, every relevant shortcode param, all WP Rocket optimizations (incl. plugin fully deactivated), Elementor (tested on a plain classic-editor page), Members, every setting in the plugin config including "Load plugin on frontend" (already on). Latest version.

Question: any generic way to force a plugin to enqueue its shortcode assets, or has anyone seen a plugin's JS silently not registering like this? Ticket with JoomUnited is open but no fix yet.

Thanks!
