Is it possible with your plugin to automatically copy every image uploaded to the media library to a folder in the root directory (http://www.mysite.com/myduplicatedimages/)?
If not, can the synchronization function of the plugin also synchronize the images in the media library with a folder in the root directory (http://www.mysite.com/myduplicatedimages/)?
If so, is it possible to schedule the synchronization (e.g. daily)?
