The actual files remain securely stored on Dropbox's servers, which means you don't need to worry about them taking up storage space on your own server.

2. WP Media Folder will synchronize your files and folders exactly as they are organized inside the root folder generated on your Dropbox account.
Because it mirrors your folder structure, identically named files located in different folders will sync perfectly without replacing one another.

Part of my first question was left open and I would like to follow up on it, especially since the documentation you thankfully pointed to jumps right into that topic.

Where are the thumbnails stored, and can MP4 files likewise remain entirely in Dropbox?

Also, is there a way to get a short term evaluation license to try out your plugin on my own data?

Regarding your question about video thumbnails, WP Media Folder is designed to enhance the default WordPress media library using virtual folders.
Currently, video files default to a generic document icon with a play button, meaning you will need to add custom video thumbnails manually.
