Musescore mscx estension compatibilty

I am developping a wordpress application for a choral. I have to allow the choral subscribers to list and to dowload both pdf and mscx files for Musescore. Musescore is a software running on windows able to play a vocal score . By default mscx extension is not standard inside wordpress but I find a way to manage it inside wordpress; Assuming that the mscx musescore files are in a wordpress directory, it is possible to manage / download them with WP Media folder ? Note that mscx files are not wordpress compliant by default. Thanks for your response
