Do you have a solution to migrate to your plugin without losing the (virtual) tree structure of the photos ?

This is something not possible with WP Media Folder because the folder structure in WP Media folders is physical meanwhile it's virtual in our plugin.

The plugin in the WordPress repository is name WP Media Folders (with a S), and it's not maintained anymore as all what it was doing has been integrated back into WP Media Folder (without a S)

WP Media Folders (in the WP Repository) do not handle virtual folders, it only handles creating and moving files into actual folders when you use WP Media Folder (from JoomUnited)
It only handles manual file renaming through the WordPress media library.
It has never handled virtual folders in the media library.

WP Media Folders (By WP Hi-Tech) is another plugin sold in Codecanyon which seems to be abandoned by now. This plugin is not correctly coded, and it fails to update correctly. Instead of embedding its own updater, the developer did not code this part. Therefore, it installs WP Media Folders (The one in WP Repository) hover itself (WP Media Folders from WP Hi-Tech).

If I understand well your situation, you have installed WP Media Folders from WP Hi-Tech to have virtual folders.
But when you have updated the plugins, it has installed the one from WP Repository instead. That's why you don't have virtual folders (because WP Media Folders in WP Repository, doesn't have this feature)

If you want to migrate from WP Media Folders to WP Media Folder, we should be able to import it.
We may need an access to your website and the original plugin from WP Hi-Tech.
Once you have ordered a plan of WP Media Folder plugin, please open a support ticket with these information, a developer will handle it.
If for any reason it's not possible to import it, we can refund your order.

Merci pour votre réponse très détaillée, nous avons fait de gros travaux sur le site, et oui effectivement aujourd'hui nous devons changer le plugin WP MEDIA FOLDERS (damien barrere) par votre MEDIA FOLDER (le votre) afin de conserver les dossiers de rangements des photos des produits de notre boutique (44 000 photos de produits) elles rangées dans de nombreux dossiers.
est ce que votre développeur va transformer les dossiers virtuels en réel ? est ce possible et évidement de ne pas perdre les photos dans les fiches produits ?
de quoi avez vous besoin pour travailler ? acces admin ? FTP ? merci

Tout dépend de la manière dont a été codé le plugin que vous avez actuellement.
Si ce sont en effet des dossiers virtuels, ça ne devrait pas poser de problème et les liens d'images ne seront pas brisés.
Le développeur vous confirmera ça une fois les données en main.
Vous pouvez créer un ticket et fournir un accès FTP et admin ainsi que l'explication que vous avez fournie dans ce post.
N'oubliez pas de faire un backup de toutes vos données, on ne sait jamais.
Par contre, le support se fait en anglais.
