Hello,

im using the DIvi Theme, and would like to Optimize my already uploaded Images again. I would liek to know if this will be possible with WP Media Folder Plugin.

I have all my Images in my Wordpress Uploads Folder Month / Year based. When i would copy the whole Uploads Folder to my local PC via FTP, Optimize The Filesize of them, and move them back to the Server via FTP (Name and Structure will be the same), that all Images get registered again somehow with the original Date and Path Settings? Or would there be a way to just replace and Optimized Image, and date and path are overtaken somehow?

Yes, it will remain the same with the URL but the date and size of images will be updated.
You can do with the WP Media default. Our plugin just create virtual folders to manage images easier.

Hi,

You do not need to register anything with our plugin. When copying, it will replace your images on your server and its URL still remains.

Thanks, just to understand correct, I mean when copy the optimised Files Back via FTP directly to the Server, I dont have to register again the Images again? Or you mean when I copy Back the Files with your Plugin, I have not to Register again the Files?

Can you please tell me what would be the steps with your Plugin to do this?

Yes, our plugin does not change anything in WP Media default. You can replace your optimized files on your server without our plugin.
Our plugin just creates virtual folders on your WP site. Hope you understand what I mean!
