Hello dear JoomUnited Team,
I would like to buy your WP Media Folder plug-in for a project, but would like to clarify in advance whether the following requirement can be implemented with it at all, so that I don't buy the plug-in for nothing:
The project is about a migration from typo3 to Wordpress where a lot of documents (about 8000 - 10000, without image files) have to be migrated (copied). Unfortunately, I can't discuss it away, no matter how nonsensical it is.
At first, these documents should simply remain available on the server so that any existing links to these files still work. This does not concern the PlugIn for the time being, I am only writing so that you understand the context.
About 1000 of these existing documents are to be used in the new Wordpress environment. Unfortunately, these have to be imported bit by bit, automatic access via a predefined URL is not possible.
For this import we want to use your plug-in:
So that we don't have to import all 10,000 files, but only the files that are actually needed, we have the following idea:
Step 1:
First we import only the folder structure without files: this would be important so that the structure is visible in principle. Is that possible?
Step 2:
Then, by manually importing from the local hard drive, we only add the files to the respective folder that are actually needed. Can conflicts arise at this point because the file already exists on the server with the same name? Can it simply be replaced?
Or is it possible to import individual files with the plug-in, in which case this would be a better option: the editor would then only have to import the file via the plug-in. Are the folders perhaps even created automatically at that moment, so that step 1 could be omitted?
I hope the question is understandable.
Thank you for your answer.
Regards
Martin
