Is it possible to upload to Google drive from Wordpress? As an example, if I were to click the featured image button and choose to upload a file from my computer for a post, can I set it up to store the image on Google drive as appose to the hosting platform

Yes, that's what our plugin does. You can upload files to Google Drive through our plugin.
