I have two questions in relation to the WP Media Folder Google Drive add-on.

1. Will the images that I use from the Google Drive folder (without importing to WP) have a Wordpress URL or a Google URL?
2. If I move current WP images to the Google Drive folder...will they stay attached to the pages/posts that I am currently using them on?

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
1. Will the images that I use from the Google Drive folder (without importing to WP) have a Wordpress URL or a Google URL?

Those link are Google URLs because the images are stored actually on Google Drive.
2. If I move current WP images to the Google Drive folder...will they stay attached to the pages/posts that I am currently using them on?

You can move files between Google folder in WP only. That's not possible to move files from WP folders to Cloud folders.

Hope it helps!

Thank you for your response. What would be your recommendation if I wanted all of my current images to be stored only on Google and not in my server directory. Is there a relatively easy way to do that while keeping the images attached to the pages/posts that I am currently using them on?

In other words, how can I move my current images from my WP directory to Google Drive without breaking their attachment to pages/posts.

We probably have over 3,500 images in our directory, and we are looking for a way to store them remotely to help speed things up on our end.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.
how can I move my current images from my WP directory to Google Drive without breaking their attachment to pages/posts.

Sorry, our plugin does not support to move files from your site to cloud server.
You should upload those images to cloud and then insert into your posts/pages.

Cheers,
