I have a number of files that I use in WordPress posts (text, csv, PDF, jpg, etc.). I update these on a regular basis. I am looking for a solution where I can use Dropbox synching to automatically update these posts without having to log into WordPress to replace the files or refresh the posts. I want to confirm that WP Media Folder will do this for me.

In short, when I update these files on my local computer, will the revised versions appear on my WordPress site automatically? Does this synchronization process effectively "replace" the media library files as far as WordPress is concerned?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

The images will be updated automatically if the URLs of those images still remain the same after replacing.

Hope this helps!

I have used WP Media Folder with Dropbox Sync to import a CSV file from my Dropbox account. I had to import the CSV file to the Media Library because another plugin that will use the CSV file requires the file to be physically on my server (a Dropbox link will not work in this case).

I need to have the CSV file in my physical media library automatically update when I change it on my desktop computer; this will allow the other app to dynamically update the data it pulls from the CSV file.

It was my understanding from your earlier response that this would work. When I changed the CSV file on my desktop computer in Dropbox, it would automatically sync and update the physical file in my Media library. Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be happening.

Any suggestions?
