Is there a way to add a download link to the media (e.g. below each image) in the gallery - and can it automatically be added to all media in a folder (and updated automatically as media files are added to the folder)? Will that link download the full size version of an image or the thumbnail size?

Or can each file displayed be downloaded with a click? If so, will the full size (for example image) be downloaded with a right click (and select download) or will only the thumbnail be downloaded then?

Also, is there a search function so that the user readily can search among these media files (e.g. based on tags in the file name) and a gallery generated based on the search result?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

The download feature is currently possible in Media library with single images only.
On the frontend, we are considering to implemented Download feature for a gallery or a single image in the future version.

Also, is there a search function so that the user readily can search among these media files (e.g. based on tags in the file name) and a gallery generated based on the search result?

You can create a gallery including the images from the search result within several clicks.
For better management, you can use Gallery Add-on to systemize galleries with more dedicated themes.

Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
