Does WP Media Folder create directorys?

Yes indeed, this is something similar, the image stay in the same /uploads folder so you won't loose any image link in case of new install of uninstall of the plugin.
The main difference is that we are using our own WordPress Taxonomy (not the category taxonomy).

There's no German translation already, de-DE, fr-FR, es-ES, en-GB are available.
But it's standard WP language file so you can translate it into your language like any other plugins.
