I want to do the following:

1. ftp folder/subfolder to wordpress under the 'uploads' directory.
2. Then sync or have this same structure appear within the media library.

The documentation shows only the wp-content folder and not the upload directory under it. so importing imports entire wp-content library. not what I want. Real Media library has a addon called physical media folder that syncs amd matches the server folder structure and creates the same in the wordpress media library.

Hi,

You can sync the folder and its sub from your server. Our WP Media Folder plugin is based on the WP media library default.
We just create virtual folders to manage media in the library. Please go here for more details:

Thanks a lot!
Best Regards,
