I'm Migrating to WP / WooCommerce (from X-cart)
There are a lot of images in this migration.
My plan is to migrate images first and sort that out. But How?
That's where I need a few pointers.

My thinking is ...
After creating the image folders I like, AND
after migrating my images, AND
Putting them in the folders of my choice, THEN
Export a list of images and path locations, FROM THERE ...
I can match them up with my existing database and I'd essentially have a data map of my images from the OLD server to the NEW server (WP/WooC). And All image filenames are unique.
Is this possible?
Or do you have a better idea?

OR perhaps (on the OLD SERVER), I could write a cool MySQL JOIN command that tracks images to their products, products to their categories and from there I have a data map as well. Hmmm... maybe this is a better plan??

Thx for your help. Looks like the best plugin out there!

You can use our import/export feature in our plugin which should be installed and work well on your old site.
Once you have the export file of your old site, you can import it on your new site. Please go here for more details:

Hope it helps!

Where is this "import/export feature in our plugin"? So you understand that our OLD server is NOT WP, correct? It is X-cart 4.7.x?
What exactly am I using on the OLD server? Thx

You can find at Settings > WP Media Folder > Import/Export. You can find it on the link above.
Sorry, which version of our plugin are you using?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

In conclusion, if you want to migrate your site, should try backup and restore plugins in WP.
Our plugin will be able to restore the Media library including images and folder structure only.

Hope it helps!

I want to import a CSV file into your database of images along with meta data... filename, Title, Caption, ALT, metadesc, categories, sub-cats.
That's it, your plugin would add whatever image data is typically appended, e.g. filetype, dimensions, etc.

Can you send me screenshots of the interface of actually used during an import of my field names and mapping them to your plugins expected field names?

I have thousands of images, so I need to make this efficient. Please assist me with the actual mechanics of the import mapping. Thx!

Our export file type will be *.xml, we have not supported to import *.csv file currently.

You just select an option and then click on Run Export button, then there will be a *.xml file will be download automatically.

Please check on the documentation:
