Hello there guys,

I am considering to purchase this plugin with the onedrive addon, but it is not clear to me if this can work the way I want it to work:

When I upload media for the wordpress website, I want them to only occupy space in Onedrive and not in the server, is that possible with the plugin and its onedrive addon?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Best regards.

Files uploaded to cloud folders (OneDrive, Dropbox,...) will be stored on cloud servers. We just index file information in Media library.
There contains cloud folders and normal folders in Media library. Please go here for more information:

Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the reply. Just a small clarification:

For media already uploaded to wordpress media library, is there a way to send them up to onedrive and then load them from there, without occupying space?

Thank you in advance.
Hi,

Yes, you can import the WordPress media in OneDrive; however, we cannot replace the existing media links in your content to replace them with OneDrive ones.
This possibility is only offered for the AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Wasabi cloud and Linode storage. That's because it's some cloud systems optimized to serve media and their API allows us to do so.

Thank you again for the reply.

So, let me know if I got it correctly. In case all the files are moved to onedrive and none is left at the server, whenever the page is loaded by a visitor, the relative media are going temporarily from onedrive to the server and then are sent to the visitor.

Or something else happens? Please let me know if I got it correctly.

Best regards,
Hi,

Here's what needs to be done to serve your files from OneDrive servers. You need to have your files physically stored, uploaded on OneDrive, and then you've added those files to your WordPress content.

For example, you have synchronized files from OneDrive to WordPress and added a OneDrive image from your media library in a WordPress page.
Another example is you've uploaded an image to a OneDrive folder using the WordPress media library (and WP Media Folder) and added this image in a WordPress page.

Does it help?

Cheers,
