Hello,

I run a web to serve maps, free of charge but "buyable" through woocommerce.
I use woocommerce just for the sake of hiding the real path of the maps bought/served.

The downloaded maps have a big impact on my server bandwith, they are stored in mywebsite/private_folder (out of the wordpress root)

Question:
If i upload these files to OneDrive (i have 1Tb unused), can i link the woocommerce downloadable product to the path in OneDrive? How do i do it?
I've tried to simply create "shared" links from One Drive and copying that link into the woocommerce product link but the download would not launch, it would simply redirect to the onedrive shared link

Thanks

You can insert your files from OneDrive in our plugin to product in WooCommerce.
Our plugin is integrated with WooCommerce. Please go to our documentation for more details:

Hope it helps!

I would love to buy this plugin, having my downloadable files out of my server would be great, but i do not dare to buy the plugin.
I bought WP Media Folders yesterday and have already requested refund, folders not syncing.

Can we have a trial version of the WP File Download or at least a clear compromise to refund if customer is not satisfied?
I would like to take advantadge of today's last day of 20% disccount, but again i don't dare to buy if refund is not guaranteed.

Thank you!

As I see, you have subscription of WP File Download already. Please drop us a ticket support if you encounter any issues.
Our dev will take a look at that.

Unfortunately support must be on holidays.

I tried this plugin.
It worked fine to sell downloadable files hosted in onedrive except that any file larger than 150mb (approx) would not work... which means, the plugin does not work for me.

First answer from support to my ticket was:
- When you download a file from cloud, that file will download to your server/hosting first then deliver to the browser
- To download large file, it depend on your server/hosting setting a lot.

Does this make sense to you. So, why would i want my files in my onedrive if they need to go through my server?
Large files have never been an issue. I have those files in my server and they download fine though they use too much bandwidth.
I just wanted to unload my server from so many gigas, put the files in onedrive and let onedrive serve the files. From support answer i guess that despite the files are in onedrive they still "go through my server".

I have requested refund
Days passing by and no answer, no refund.
