I would like to know that will i be able to upload any file type, like .exe, or some custom file types ? or are there some limitations to file types? Further, can the file size be any size or any limitations?

I also would like to know if, the frontend theme of the page where i like to show the downloads can is customizable via the plugin features or themes.?

Yes, we have "Allow extensions" and "Max upload size" parameter for you to adjust.
