Does Google Drive integration still use up storage space in Joomla?

can I make use of Dropfiles+Google Drive and not take up any storage on my Joomla deployment? In other words, can I set it up so that ALL files remain exclusively on Google Drive?

Yes, you can. That's the reason we developed the Cloud addon version. Let me clear my answer.

Files will be stored at the Cloud obviously. When a user download a Google driver file, Dropfiles will download from the cloud and stored temporarily on your hosting. After that it will send the file to user's browser. When user download completed, the file will be deleted.
