Hi,

I bought Social Backlinks before but my memory is failing me and I'm not sure why I wasn't able to use it as it looks perfect for my job.

In the back of my head Cron comes to mind. Is it necessary for the component to work properly or to update automatically that you need cron jobs set up with your host?

Lastly is there any facility to automatically upload JEvents Events? I'd love to give it another go especially as its Joomla 4 compatible.

You do not need to set Cron job in our extension.

JEvents integration is not implemented in Social backlinks. However, you can use our extension in Joomla 4 currently.
