How to load your WordPress latest posts in Avada theme

Showing our latest posts using a widget is one of the best ways to allow our users to see what's new in our site and if we can mix it with 
the Avada theme that has a powerful builder, we could get the max of it!

WP Latest Posts allow us to generate blocks with our latest posts using a theme of the ones available as well as use the filters so we can show specifically what we want to show and it also has dedicated blocks/widgets for all major page builders including Avada.

In this tutorial we will see how to add our latest post block directly in our site content using Avada and WP Latest Posts.

Create a WordPress latest posts block

First of all, we will create a block with our latest posts, let's see how easy is to create it using WP Latest Posts and one of the available themes.

Go to WP Latest Posts and click on +New Block.

This will open a section with a dashboard where we can start with the block creation.

First, there will be an option to select the source where we can select the post/post type that we want to add, for example, a normal post or a custom post type if we want to use, for example WooCommerce Products.

So let's type a title and select the source.

Depending on what source was selected on this step, the next settings will be different, in this case, as Posts was selected, we will be able to set:

The Order.

Max Columns/Rows/Posts.

Published Date.

Now that this is done, we can continue with the next step that is Display and theme.

This step is to define the theme that will be used and the settings for it.

The available themes are:

Default free theme

Category Grid (Pro)

Masonry Theme (Pro)

Material Horizontal Theme (Pro)

Material Vertical Theme (Pro)

Portfolio Theme (Pro)

Smooth Hover Theme (Pro)

Timeline Theme (Pro)

In this case, the Category Grid will be used but feel free to use any of the available themes if you have the Pro Addon, after that, we will have the theme setup options where we can adjust the theme to make fit our content.

Finally, we have the Animation tab where we can edit themes that include animations like the Smooth Hover theme.

Now that we have set our theme, the next step is the Image Source where we can specify the images that will be used in our latest posts theme.

And we are done with our block creation! Now we can proceed to publish it using Avada.

Another extra step is the Shortcode tab which allow us to be able to use our Blocks section wherever we want using any page builder or editor.

Now that the block with our latest posts is created, we can proceed with adding it to our page/post using Avada.

Go to an already created page/post or create a new one and edit it using Avada.

Now that the editor is loaded, click on +Element and search WP Latest Posts.

An option will be opened where we can select our block.

Finally, click on Save and done! Our latest posts block will be added to our content.

The process would be the same if we use the live editor so as easy as add the block using the Avada tools and done! Our Latest Posts is ready to be shown.
