Hi there
Im wondering if WP File can do the following before I purchase it.

1. All my files will not be available to public - you neeed to be a subscriber (member / registered)
2. All registered users can see only categories which are allocated to them - based on their RANK (therefore users will be allocated 2 or more roles)

Example: User 1 with RANK 1 , can see only files that are RANK 1 and you need to be a subscriber
User 2 : Can see all RANK 1 files, RANK 2 files and Subscriber files - but cannot see any files that are RANK 3, RANK 4 etc.
User 3 : Can see all RANK 1, RANK 2, RANK 3 , general Subscriber file, but not RANK 5

Hence , one user, may have multiple ROLES allocated to them, and the categories wil be allocated only for RANK 1 or RANK 1 & RANK 2 etc.

Another way to imagine this , is:

: A student must register on their schools website. A Year 7 student can only see Year 7 content - but a Year 10 student can see all Year 7, 8, 9, 10 content....

Please advise.
Thanks in advance

Yes, you can set user role in the Visibility for categories. One or more roles can be applied for a category.
Please go here for more details:

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
