Use a local server to store and retrieve documents with your plugin

Is it possible to set the directory path to see an internal server that isn't public facing?

This is something not possible with our plugin. All files uploaded to our plugin are encrypted and saved to the database.
You can use our plugin to import files from your server. For more details:

We would like folks to have the ability to view different folders and search for their documents?

You can sync folders from your server to our plugin in the future version.

When do you precisely plan to develop the sync functionality ? We have a lot amount of files to import at first and bulk imports seems to not be implemented in your plugin. Am i right ?

Yes, you can import a bunch of files only at this time. The new import feature will be implemented in version 4.9 (the currently version is 4.6.7).
That means you can do folder synchonization.
