Upload via FTP back end PDF/CSV auto sync + shortcode for end users?

1. Upload via SFTP/FTP back end into separate folders e.g sports, racing

You can upload files to a specific category directly from our plugin and they are stored at {root}\wp-content\uploads\wpfd\{category-id}.

2. Auto-sync the files in these folders to categories/groups.

Now you can import files from server to our plugin, and we will be improved the importer feature in the future release.

3. Restrict these groups to wordpress user groups.

Yes, certainly. You can restrict group users to access a category.

Will WP File Download allow the upload via back end ftp, then sync whats in the folder (remove files that have been removed from back end, and display new), then provide a short code i can put into a post to display the files for download?

As I said, the import/sync feature will be updated in the version to come. We now have shortcode generator for files and categories.

Thanks for the great reply.

I will keep an eye out when the import/sync feature becomes automatic in future releases as this is the key element for us. We update PDF reports every few hours with data, therefore the current manual push button process will not work for us.
