I have purchased your plugin and am using it on a site with about 10 categories and maybe 100 files or so. Everything works great at this level.
Will your system support and easily manage 500 - 1000 files with maybe 20 categories? Is this common? If so, how will it affect the performance of my website?

Yes, we have customers with thousands files and there is no complaint until now.
It would be great to improve your performance if you create many subcategories where you can upload files. And it depends on server also.
