Hello,

It's not clear to me if the plugin has the following:

1. File/folder sorting, either in the front-end or back-end. I don't see it on the front-end demo, but maybe there is an option to turn it on? or at least maybe the admin has a back-end interface to sort files and folders? In all cases, what is the default sorting behaviour?

2. Is there an easy way for the admin to upload a whole folder structure, with its subfolders and files in 1 step through the back-end interface? Or maybe through importing it from somewhere or via FTP? My client is expected to upload complex folder structures from his computer everyday and he doesn't want to upload the files of each folder separately.

3. What is the list of filetypes that support the "preview" option? On the demo I can only see images, videos, DOC and PDF. Anything else? like Excel for example.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
1. File/folder sorting, either in the front-end or back-end.

Normally, the newest files/folders will be added at the bottom of list. You can sort files/folders in backend only.
You have to sort Folders manually presently. Files can be sorted by type, name, size, hit (times downloaded) or date.
2. Is there an easy way for the admin to upload a whole folder structure, with its subfolders and files

I'm sorry, it's impossible, you can imports files at a time not folder and its sub.
3. What is the list of filetypes that support the "preview" option? On the demo I can only see images, videos, DOC and PDF. Anything else? like Excel for example.

Yes, our plugin supports almost file types Google drive does; such as: xls, ppt, mp3,.... Which file types do you often use?

Hope it helps!

Hello, thanks for the quick reply.

1. Ok, about sorting, do you mean that from the back-end there's a way to sorry files in a folder by name in 1 click? And when this happens, this sorting also shows up on the front-end?

2. Preview filetypes: I was mainly asking about xls, thanks!

3. Is there a back-end demo account that I can use to make sure of some little things?

Hi meero82,

Thanks for your response.
1. Yes, you just click the Title and the ordering of files in frontend will be displayed the same as in backend.
2. Ok, not at all.
3. I'm sorry we don't have any trial/limited version as our plugin are open source.
But, if you encounter any trouble of compatibility, the developer in charge can fix that for you or we can refund you.

OK that sounds great so far.

One more question about my earlier question concerning uploading a whole folder structure with subfolders. Can Google Drive or Dropbox add-on help with that? I saw the videos and it seems that such integration will pull the whole folder/sub-folder structure from Google Drive or Dropbox as is, is that true?

In such case, can I still give access to these pulled folders/sub-folders to different users, and such access settings would stay unchanged after every sync?

I'm asking because my client will then need to place so many files into many folders and sub-folders on their Google Drive or Dropbox, and they want some of these folders to be accessible only to some WordPress users.

So, will the access settings to each user stay as is after every sync? or do they have to reconfigure the access of each user every time?

Hi meero82,

Thanks for your response.

Definitely, Google Drive and Dropbox will help you sync sub-folders.
can I still give access to these pulled folders/sub-folders to different users, and such access settings would stay unchanged after every sync?

Yes, you can give permission to single user to access folders/sub-folders and settings still remains the same after sync.

Hope it helps!
Cheers,
