Does the search engine in this plugin, searches within file's content (pdf, doc, txt...etc)?
T
Hi,

Yes it is, the search engine have the full text search.

Thank you for your quick reply!, does this plugin will still be able to index a +100 pages PDF?
T
Yes sure, just make sure your server have enough resources to handle that.
For example if you launch a search query over 50 PDF of 100 pages with full text search activated it may take some time on small servers ;)

Hello

I have tried your demo:
https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-demo/?page_id=1449&catid=30

and searched for the "Lorem ipsum" in your document.pdf. But it did not find the document. What's the problem?

Would the full text search also be included in the normal Wordpress Search or is there a "catch all" searchfield to search for posts, pages and download content which could be included in the page header?

Thanks in advance

Hi stw,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
searched for the "Lorem ipsum" in your document.pdf. But it did not find the document. What's the problem?

Oh, that's our mistake, we will update this page, this feature was resleased in version 4.3.5.
Would the full text search also be included in the normal Wordpress Search or is there a "catch all" searchfield to search for posts, pages and download content which could be included in the page header?

I'm sorry, "the full text search" is valid for documents in our WP File download only.

Hope it helps!
Regards,
T
Hi,

The full text search was not working on our demo because we just deployed the latest version on the demo page today :)
You can run a new search now for "lorem" for example, you'll get some results.
