Questions about where files get stored if use google drive

if I use the google drive sync, do the docs get stored on our website server or on our google drive and your tool just references them?

Our plugin just gets file information from cloud server (Google drive) and of course, files are actually stored on Cloud server.
It helps to offload your server. That's the reason why the Addon version was developed.
