Hi! We're thinking about purchasing this plugin. A feature we absolutely need is password protected files.
I've seen some promises about this for version 3.6 (see here) and later for version 4.2 (see here).

Are there any updates on this feature? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes indeed, this is a feature that has been asked already. In the between we've worked on User role restriction enhancement as you may have seen.
We are currently working on a new addon version that will include a Microsoft OneDrive synchronization, and right after that, the feature is planned for the next major version, the 4.3.
