If I add many files to one category and then put a shortcode for that category on a page to display the files.

Then if for each file I restrict it to one unique user ( a different user for each file)

Then what I want is, if a user is logged on and looks at the page they will only see the ONE file that they are allowed to download.


Will your WP file Download plugin do that?


Also can you tell minimum version of WordPress required to run the WP file Download plugin

Yes, you can insert a category on a page, and then restrict single users to access each files.
More than one user can access a single file. Please go here for more information:

It will work well with the latest WP version, and you should install on WP from version 5.x.
