Hi! Our client is using WP File Download. I could not find a link through the backend to contact you so I'm hoping I can ask you here!

They (and we) have noticed the that uploaded files are not adhering to a specific sort structure on the frontend. Is there a way to specify that files either display by most recent upload first, or alternatively alphabetically by document name?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

I'm not sure if you are talking about sorting files within a single category or all files you uploaded to WP File Download.

1. If you want to sort files in a specific category, please go to category setting (Right-click on a category > Edit category), then you can see the ordering option.
You can see our documentation here:
https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-documentation/wp-file-download/225-wp-file-download-files-and-categories#toc-3-manage-file-download

2. If you want to show all your latest files using a shortcode generator, please nagivate to WP File Download > Configuration > Shortcodes tab.
Then you can select suitable options and then use that shortcode. Please go the link below for further information:

Thanks a lot!
Best Regards,
