Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

I can't see how WP File Download is integrated into a page. Is it a shortcode? Is it Elementor friendly? Are there any limitations ie theme etc?

Yes, we have shortcode for files and categories which you can insert anywhere on your site.
For Elementor, only search WP File download search widget is integrated currently,
the widget for "File listing and single file" will be released on version 4.9.

Are there any limitations ie theme etc?

Our plugin works with all other major content builders; for example:
DIVI, ACF, Themify builder, ... Please go here for more information:

Hope it helps!

Sorry for being pedantic - but the documentation says i can make downloads available to individual users - how does that work on the front end? Are all documents filtered against, say, user_login or something like that and the documents assigned to that user only become visible? I'm excited by this plugin and it looks vital to what I am working on right now but i need to be able to refine the downloads a user sees and only make their content available. And i assume that means i can upload content on the back end and assign it to individual users yes?

Incredible response time btw.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.

Yes, certainly. You can restrict user to view and download the single files/categories on frontend.
After admin grants permission for users to access files or categories, you should insert them into your post/page.

You should go here for more information:

Thanks a lot!
