1. Yes sure, you can list only categories with their files inside
2. The best way for that if you're familiar with HTML/CSS is to create your custom theme from an existing one: https://www.joomunited.com/documentation/wp-file-download-documentation#toc-3-2-create-your-own-theme

You can also configure a theme and remove all unnecessary elements.

3. Yes that's correct, all the website you want, like all our extensions

Coming around to actually do some testing...

1. Okay - how? As far as I can see, I need to select a specific category. I have tried [wpfd_category] without an id, with empty id, with id 0, id -1, ... If there's any hint how to list everything, I haven't found it.

2. The part in the documentation is not helpful at all. Yes, I can clone a template. Then I'll have a folder containing other folders and several files. I'm not even sure what actually produces the list output - which would be where I'd try to apply the structure I had shown in my screenshot. But I have a bad feeling just tweaking parts of the stuff that gets generated. Just "familiar with HTML/CSS" as a requirement is a wild understatement. Partially the template even looks as if it were using Smarty. But nothing is commented, I'm not into just fumbling around.

You mentioned I could also customize the output of preset themes. Well, kind of. For example if I use table layout and set "Show category title" to "no", not only the category title is hidden but rather the whole tree I had before. Just with that one setting. Two screenshots of that attached as I cannot give you access to the system this is running on; only change is the one setting mentioned. Honestly, I think, this plugin may have some issues.

I thought, we could just manually input the categories one after another on a single page and just live with that. So I tried that, gave the files some description and... well... screenshot of that attached as well. Even the button breaks. Don't get me wrong, I know, why this happens. But I don't want to deal with that. Can we please have a refund for WP File Download and our license revoked?

1. You should Enable Display short code in category feature at configuration; then you will see the shortcode on the bottom of right panel in WP File Download. (see an attached image)

2. In order to have a deeper look at your technical problem, please drop us a ticket (menu Support > Ticket support). The developer in charge will help you

I have already removed the plugin including its settings and all uploaded files. So nothing to try and nothing more to write tickets about.

Also, just for the record, I know where to get the shortcode for a category from. What I do not know (my initial question seems to have been misunderstood as well) is how to output all the downloads on a single page. I would expect this to be either another shortcode, the shortcode without an id set or the shortcode with a special value for id.

But that's more just FYI. As already stated, I have removed the plugin.

I'm sorry, to display all the downloads with shortcode on a single page is something impossible now.
