Hi,
I have a few questions.
Can this plugin be used to create a an historical document archive and search it by “year” and “type” of document(Minutes, Bylaws, etc)? This archive will have more than 5.000 documents. PDFs, Docx, XLS, jpeg, etc.
Can it have more then one filter? By year, category and others?
Can a document be assigned more than one category?
Can it have document browser preview, before download? What are the file formats it can preview?
Can we have multiple custom fields that are filterable and searchable?
Can it have Integration with dropbox? How does it work? How do folders in dropbox translate on the plugin?
What type of documents is it able to index?
Can files for download remain private and not be made public by search engines?
Is the search function effective to find files?
Will the plugin, with 5.000 documents have any effect on slowing down the website? There will be only 10 persons, previewing and downloading documents, and not at the same time.
Are there video tutorials on this plugin? Can you provide links?

Thanks for reaching out to us, several questions here
- You cannot create real custom filters in the search engine, but you can use the tags for that, the result will be the same. Tag can be displayed as checkbox (for example year) or dropdown list.
- A document can be in several categories yes. One master category where you edit the file and other as a "ghost copy"
- Yes you can setup the preview using the Google Drive previewer or the JoomUnited previewer. Google Drive previewer handles that https://support.google.com/drive/answer/37603?hl=en
While our preview is faster (local image) but have fewer formats: 'ai', 'csv', 'doc', 'docx', 'html', 'json', 'odp', 'ods', 'pdf', 'ppt', 'rtf', 'sketch', 'xd', 'xls', 'xlsx', 'xml'
- The Document can be previewed in a lightbox or in a new tab
- Yes there's a Dropbox file synchronization, see the details here: https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-products/wp-file-download/dropbox-addon
Dropbox file content index is working or office doc and PDF files
- Yes you can exclude file from index using a simple rule in your robot.txt file
- Yes the search engine can be used to find files using title, description or content (if full text search is activated)
- The resources is a question, that depends on your server power mainly, but once files are indexed with a cache system it should be good
