Hi,
Our new Intranet will have seperate areas/sets of WP pages for different departments within our organisation.
Is it possible to have a page for a department only display the area of folders/sub folders that are applicable to them?
e.g.
IT's page would have a view of only the IT folder, sub folders and its documents
HR's page would have a view of only the HRfolder, sub folders and its documents
What would be the best way to approach this?
Thanks

Yes, you can set the category is private to a specific group user.
Please go here for more information: https://www.joomunited.com/documentation/wp-file-download-documentation#toc-file-access-visibility

Hope it helps!

Thanks, that is helpful to know.

Although what I was thinking wasn't really about hiding files from a security point of view. It was more about only showing certain directories depending on where you are on the wordpress site.

e.g.
Directory is...
Category 1
Category 2
Category 3

On the IT page, all users only see Category 2
On the HR page, all users only see Categroy 3
On the main documentation page, all users see Category 1, 2 & 3

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.
Although what I was thinking wasn't really about hiding files from a security point of view. It was more about only showing certain directories depending on where you are on the wordpress site.

Yes, it depends on the way you insert the Category into your pages.
So you just put the Category 2 to IT page, the Category 3 to HR page,...

Hope it helps!
