I'm trying to determine if I can use this plugin for one of our clients. I have 3000+ files sorted in folders by their date (i.e. 2015/04/14). If I use this plugin, is there a way to change the "added date" to use the date from the folder?

#5433 Hi,
Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
I'm sorry, this is something impossible with our plugin.

#5434 Hi,
If you use the importer for files, you can setup the category name (.ie folder name) you want.
The process maybe a bit boring because you need to:
- Create a file category and add the name you want
- Import files from from, for example, 2015/04/14
- Create another category... and so on
Cheers,

#5438 Hi,
Yes you can import files in Google Drive categories or upload files in Google Drive and sync it in WP File Download (faster).

#5440 The date of the file creation correspond to the date when the file is created on the disk, never the date of its original creation.
WP File Download, Google Drive or any other Disk won't change that, I'm sorry.
But your files are sorted in folders with date numbers, right?

#5446 Hi,
The date added on WP File Download is stored in the database, so Yes you can change it from there.
It won't work with a cloud synchronization though.
We don't do any custom development here but this is something that can be done with a specific import script.
