I would like to know if the WP File Download can have groups of users all with the same roles?
I want to create several GROUPS and each group will have its own users.
So Group 1 users cannot see Group 2 documents even though the users in each group have the same role.
Is this possible?
I would also like to know if user's uploads can be turned off so that users can only download what admin has put into their folder?

That's impossible to create several groups with the same role, you can create User roles for each group user. For more information:

You can let user to view and download theirs files on frontend. It's impossible at backend.
