Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

Is it possible to load files to the website directory through sftp, and then automatically sync with the front end so that the users who have access to those directories can download the files?

Currently, you can import files from your server to our plugin only. If you want to sync files automatically, you can use cloud integration (Google Drive, Dropbox,...)
Here is Google Drive for example:

Hope this helps!

Would it be possible to automate the import files functionality? Possibly on a timer that could run at a custom time interval (like 5 mins)? We just need to be able to make files available to our clients without having to login and manually add the file to the list of their available downloads.

Thanks!
Hi,

This is a feature that we've created for another plugin, WP Media Folder, and we'll also implement it in WP File Download, but we have several versions in the between.
Feature in reference: https://www.joomunited.com/wordpress-products/wp-media-folder/import-synchronize-server-folders-with-the-wordpress-media

Do you have an ETA on when this functionality will be available for WP File Download.

It is the main determining factor on whether we license the product.

Thanks
Hi,

Very hard to be precise, it's planned on the 5.9 version, I would say 6 month.

Cheers,
