Hi,

1.) I would like to ask whether there are plans to adapt the extension to Joomla 4.

2.) Another other question is, if there is a possibility to search for a term in all glossaries at once, given the case that there are several glossaries. Is it possible to define a search field for specified glossaries, leaving away the others?

3.) Is there a plugin for SmartSearch / com_finder?

4.) Is there a possibility to show on the frontend statistics, as e.g. number of terms, hits, newest term, last modified, latest search query, most popular etc.?

5.) I am considering to transferring my dictionary system with about 200,000 items (now still using https://glossword.biz) to SEO Glossary, once I will move my Joomla installation to J4. Is there any advice you could give?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
1.) I would like to ask whether there are plans to adapt the extension to Joomla 4.

When the Joomla 4.x will be released, we will fix if there will be any issues with our extension.

2.) Another other question is, if there is a possibility to search for a term in all glossaries at once, given the case that there are several glossaries. Is it possible to define a search field for specified glossaries, leaving away the others?

We have SEO Glossary search module. You can see our online demo:

3.) Is there a plugin for SmartSearch / com_finder?

Yes, SEO Glossary got a dedicated advanced search engine and also works with Joomla search and Advanced search.

4.) Is there a possibility to show on the frontend statistics, as e.g. number of terms, hits, newest term, last modified, latest search query, most popular etc.?

This feature is not possible currently. When show the Glossary on frontend, the Hits, Synonyms,.. fields are displayed following the terms.

5.) I am considering to transferring my dictionary system with about 200,000 items (now still using https://glossword.biz) to SEO Glossary, once I will move my Joomla installation to J4. Is there any advice you could give?

We have Import/Export function, so you can use to move your items. For more details:

Hope it helps!

Thank you for your reply.
̈́One single question:
We have SEO Glossary search module. You can see our online demo:
https://www.demo-joomunited.com/seo-glossary/seo-glossary-component

I have tried the module but is doesn't search all glossaries at once, only "Glossary" and not "Cities", so I couldn't find e.g. "Paris" with the module.
It is essential for my dictionary project to have such a function. Is possible to search for a term in all glossaries at the same time, getting a result for terms from all glossaries? With the module and/or SmartSearch?
If that is the case, chances are great that I will purchase SEO Glossary.

I'm not using J4 yet. As I have understood from above, SEO Glossary will be ported to J4 and that is ok for me.
My main concern is the issue on the search functions, see my message from yesterday.
