My customer wishes to have a map functionality on the website to display all projects.
Projects can be divided into areas/regions (province in Netherlands, 'states' in Germany, etc. maybe a custom area, not sure yet).
Each region is colored in the map and shows a group marker. The group marker shows the number of items and a label as well.
Clicking on a group marker, map zooms in, showing all project markers in the specific group/region/area
Clicking on a project marker activates a modal with detailed information about the project.

I found out that the functionality we want is there but it seems that it is divided (or shared) by two extensions:
- the my map location (for most of the functionality but not regions)
- the linky map extension (for the region functionality but no group markers)

My questions are:
- Is it possible to create regions in a map and showing a ‘summary marker’ with number of items and a label/title?
- Is it possible to use joomla articles in specific category (in this case 'projects') as 'data' source for the extension? (instead of creating a new seperate list)
- Is it possible to customize / extend the content in the modal popup?
- If the user clicks on the details link in the popup this leads the user to detail page in Joomla. If you click 'back' the filter settings and results are not store. The user has to filter each time after visiting a detail page which is not very friendly. Is this default behaviour which can be changed into 'remember filter'?

Creating region is complex task for us.so this is not supported in my map locations.you need to work on additional customization for this.

Yes this is possible.

Yes this is possible.

This is how back button is working.we can add session for storing variable.for now this is not implemented.

Thank you for the answers Alex.
Clear.

1. Regions > Clear. We have to find another way or not (yet) use it.
2. Joomla data > Great. Just what I hoped for.
3. Clear > We have to find out if the customization options are enough to maybe not need an extra page which solves the lack of session data
4. Session > Correct and clear. But very handy to have because the intention is to use the map like an overview/index/starting point. Hopefully opening detailed content in a modal is enough.

Best way is to buy & try the extension to see if it fits the 'wishlist'.
Thanks again for your time and help!

What is your idea for region?if you can send us screenshot if you purchase extension that will be very helpful.

We will do customization so it will open on modal popup.so this is something you can achieve easily.
