I need to display several locations across the us (30-50 locations) and allow users to get details about any of the locations.
Can I populate the map using a csv or Excel file?

I'd like to be able to populate the map with the name, address, phone and perhaps a small description via file upload because it is a very dynamic list that can change weekly.

Is this function available?

Yes, you can import .csv file in My maps location.
