Openstreet map and functionality

Let me try to answer your questions in order:

1- If you select open streetmap as map provider, does the extension have the same functionalities that with google maps with the search filters and everything?

Yes, it will be the same for all map types.

2- Can this view https://www.demo-joomunited.com/my-maps-location/search-full-width-theme be configured to just have the map and a simple filter that filters country, state and city and use the tags as i show in this attachment
6- The same that quesion number 2 but with this layout https://www.demo-joomunited.com/my-maps-location/search-sidebar-theme

It needs to be customized, our dev will help you with that.

3- When you add a location, does it have to direct the link on front end pop up to the location detail? or can i show in the location pop up in front end some custom html information configured in backend of the location instead of that?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean exactly. You can add custom link in each locations.
You will see location parameters while creating a new one here.

4- Can i select custom pin colors for every location category?

Yes, you can change the marker for each categories. For more information:

5- Can the "tags" that are shown in the filter (bike, reseller, restaurant shop in yoir demo) be displayed in custom colors each one?

You can do by customizing css.

7- In this layout https://www.demo-joomunited.com/my-maps-location/search-sidebar-theme can the seach filter be collapsed by default so the user opens it if needed?

This also needs to be customized.

8- If in the search form in cities you have for example more than 5 or 10 results does it have a sort of pagination or city search or does it just shows a huge list?

Yes, we have pagination for the searching result.

9- Can the map be used in a article with a shortlink?

Yes, you can insert a map using Editor button. For more information:

For number 3 i mean that when you click on a pin in your demo it goes to the location detail, can it be configured to go to a custom url and not the location detail?

For number 5 and 7, is this supported by your support team?

For number 8 i don't mean the search results, i mean that when you filter the map you have the option of country, state and city, what happens if i have for example 30 city options in the filter? Do i get a huge drop down list or does it have some kind of pagination or internal dropdown search?

I had seen you demo in smartphone now and the layouts for the search and filters are not the same that when seen on a desktop, its like that or is only something on your demo?

And one last question, if i use the extension with google maps with functionalities as in your demo, does it fit in a paid category for google maps or not? if it does, on which one will it fit to see an estimation on the costs? regards!

Let me try to explain further:-

Yes these things are there.

Yes this is possible.for this you need to put default location and then hide the searchbox using css.

it has direct link to location details.if you want to show extra information we have address format in my map location backend so you can create extra fields and show that information in my map locations.

Yes that can be done.in such case you need to click use icon form category from my map location end.

This can be done using css.

pagination is always available in our extension.

Yes we do have system plugin for my map locations.
10 for google api you need to put the key of map api and it will work back for you.
