My client needs more than the 10 layers Google Maps supports. What sort of limits in this regard does My Maps Location have?
Thanks!

#20951 Hi,
Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.
We're not entirely sure which layer limitation you're referring to, but feel free to check out our demo page to get a better idea of how the map looks and functions in practice:

Per Google Gemini...
"Google My Maps restricts users to a maximum of 10 layers per map. This limit is a structural constraint within the free tool, designed to manage performance, rather than a temporary restriction.
Key Aspects of the 10-Layer LimitTotal Capacity:
I am pretty certain the client wants to be able to outline more than 10 different geographical areas with polygons and have location pins within each of them.

Key Aspects of the 10-Layer LimitTotal Capacity:
- Total Capacity: Each map is capped at 10 layers, which includes data imported from sheets, KML/KMZ files, and drawn elements (lines/shapes).
- Purpose of Layers: Layers are used to organize data, such as categorizing different days of a trip, specific types of locations (e.g., hotels vs. restaurants), or different territories.
- Visibility Control: You can toggle each of the 10 layers on or off to manage how crowded the map looks.
- No Sub-layers: Layers cannot be nested, meaning you cannot create sub-folders within the 10 permitted layers

#20956 Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more information.
One approach we can explore is importing a KML layer into Google Maps, which would allow us to display all the polygons without being restricted by the 10-layer limit.
To move forward, we'll need to review the existing data for import/export compatibility. Could you also confirm whether the project has been purchased yet?
