We are a travel website with 28,000+ cities/locations globally where we can sell accommodations.

1) Will the import feature allow us to import that amount of city information by csv file?

The data for each city would include:

  • City Name
  • State / Province
    Country
    Latitude
    Longitude
URL (that links to our server to get show the hotels in that city/location)

It would also be good if it could store our own ID for each place so that we can update each data row, if needed.

2) Also, once a user selects a particular city, would be also be "drill down" and be able to map individual hotels in that city using the above csv data? (In some cities, such as Paris, we have thousands of individual hotel locations).

Like the above we would have the hotel name, address, latitude, longitude, etc.

3) Are people using this with GTranslate (we use) for multilingual maps?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks. -- Rik

csv import is supported in my map locations.but please make sure server is enough powerful to handle such request.
else you need to create chunk of only 1000 locations and do the import.
Our csv format is following attached in zip format.

Yes you need to enable country state filter.and this will shwo dropdown to state county and country.
