I am looking for a replacement for Google Maps API, and so many other extensions rely on it. I understand from reading posts in this forum, a custom map may be all I need. I just want to display a map where a business is located. It's nice if it goes to a map program and allows the reader to find where the business is located in reference to where the reader is located, but not absolutely necessary.

I use SobiPro in several membership sites, and the last time something posted in here was over three years ago that could be taken into consideration. Can you tell me the status of this? And can you tell me if LinkyMap or My Maps Location would be better to use? You do not offer a trial so I could test it to see if it will work for me so I have to rely on your answers.

This link for the Hohenwald Lewis County Chamber has a map insertion feature, but I could replace it and put it in the article in the page. Why am I wanting to leave Google Maps? Because I am at the mercy of what they consider hits on a given map... and just charged me over $500 for a five-day period on a site that never NEVER gets over 12,000 hits at any time in the history of the site, now over 7 yrs.

I added the link below for a local campground, and you will see a blank space where the map goes. Should I contact SobiPro and ask them if they can integrate with your products?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

In your case, My maps location is more suitable, you can use other types of map in our extension.
You can go to our product page and documentation for more information:

https://www.joomunited.com/products/my-maps-location
https://www.joomunited.com/support/joomla-documentation?extension=my-maps-location

Our dev will reply you in details about the SobiPro integration.

Thanks a lot!

First of all thank you so much for your kind queries.
Related with google map development you can replace it with openstreetmap.we have implemented openstreetmap in my map locations. In sobipro data we need latitude longitude and address and title and url and we can do customization.
also in linkymap we have implemented custom vector map functionility which is specific restricted to svg of map hosted inside your server so that will be very helpful as well.
Sorry our extension cannot offer trial version and we provide you source code and even if you don't upgrade then also the code will be with you only.
Overall i will help you in create module for sobipro where if we have latitude and longitude we will show the data in our map using code.
