Hi,

I wonder how the synchronisation works with a csv file.
From what I see in the csv sample I found on this forum, there is an ID column : is this used to identify unique content ?

In this case, if my CSV file evolves, I have to be careful that the ID of an entry remains the same. Which brings a problem to me : this means that if I send a Google Form to my all my users to update their data, I will have to manually find their ID in my previous list ?

Or perhaps do you have another way to easily update user locations ? For relatively big collections of locations (about 600 locations - 1 per user), I cannot imagine to create a Joomla account for each one of them...

Yes, the ID of location is unique.

As my experience, you need fill the "name" and "category" fields in csv file, it will be generated ID automatically when you importing to our My maps location.

You can set permission for users to add their locations on frontend. For more information: https://www.joomunited.com/documentation/my-maps-location-documentation#toc-3-1-add-and-manage-locations-2

Hope it helps!

If I update en existing entry, will it recognize the entry by the name and category, or by the ID ?
