I want to know if I’m going to get charged for using Google’s API.

Hi,

This is not the Google Geochart Maps: https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/geochart
The API request number is quite large but you can be billed of course if you have a huge amount of requests.

Just to add further you can use custom map instead of google map and in that case you don't need any api key for that.
