can I use a OneDrive for Business account or just private accounts?

You can use a private account currently. However, we have planned the business feature for a future major release: version 5.3 (we are currently in version 5.0.11).

I see this option is requested since 2017. Do you have a estimated time when we can expect it?
I really need the business version for our project and thought it would allready work with business accounts. (we have a non-profit account on Microsoft and that also doesn't work)

Though it’s hard to give a precise date on new features release for various reasons.
It mainly depends on the development roadmap we've defined for the developer and problems we may encounter during this period
