Hi guys,

I am interested to buy the product, but first I want to know what is the best way to work my idea out. With a random article I want to list a few large files(200MB>, so it is not possible to reupload) which are located on another server, so does Dropfiles support that too? Instead of uploading files to my server, I just want to link to the direct download link at a 3rd party website.

If it is not supported, what is the best way to implement it?

Hi,

Is it possible for you to upload the document using FTP then use the file import tool?

I don't exactly understand what you mean, but I do have access to the 3rd party website. The only thing is that I want to build a new website that will provide easy direct download links to the main website. However, because we are speaking of large amount of data(the main website, I believe, is about 300GB now), it is just not possible to duplicate the files on the new website too. I saw that the Attachments extension for Joomla can also just link to a file in an URL link, but yours extension looks far more appealing to me...

Well, our extension don't support (yet) file remote access. This is a feature we have planed to add in the next version.

Can you perhaps give a time frame when you are planning to release in the next version? Are we speaking here of several weeks or months?

Thank you.

In the next 2 weeks we are finishing Droppics version 2 and then start dropfiles version 2. I would say something like 6 weeks.
